One of Thrive Alabama’s most popular health education efforts is called SMASH – or Student Movement against Stigma and Hate. Overseen by our youth outreach coordinator, this program involves students educating their peers about HIV and STI prevention. The program produces awareness events for community teens. It is just one of the methods by which our youth outreach coordinator engages local young people to educate and train their peers on HIV/STIs.
