Through the Victims of Crime Act, Thrive Alabama offers free mental health counseling, victim advocacy work if needed through the legal system, psychosocial support, and case management to eligible clients.
Clients must be at least 18 years old and self-report as being both:
Childhood physical abuse
Childhood sexual abuse
Adult sexual assault/rape
Adult physical assault, including intimate partner violence
Survivor of homicide of loved one
Ethnic/racial minorities
LGBTQ+
Vulnerable adults with disabilities
Persons over age 60
Persons living in very rural areas
