• Survivors of Abuse

Through the Victims of Crime Act, Thrive Alabama offers free mental health counseling, victim advocacy work if needed through the legal system, psychosocial support, and case management to eligible clients.

Clients must be at least 18 years old and self-report as being both:

A SURVIVOR OF A VIOLENT CRIME, SUCH AS

  • Childhood physical abuse

  • Childhood sexual abuse

  • Adult sexual assault/rape

  • Adult physical assault, including intimate partner violence

  • Survivor of homicide of loved one

A MEMBER OF AT LEAST ONE UNDERSERVED POPULATION

  • Ethnic/racial minorities

  • LGBTQ+

  • Vulnerable adults with disabilities

  • Persons over age 60

  • Persons living in very rural areas
