We reach all ages with our various health education programs that provide preventative education to our community. We tailor our messages with cultural competency in mind to youth, minority, and LGBTQ communities. We strive to give our community the most current and important information. Collaborating with many organizations including our state health department, Thrive Alabama is able to provide the services the community needs to decrease the risk of HIV transmission and increase healthy thriving lives.
Conducted in K-12 schools, universities, and health fairs in our 12-county service area: Colbert, Cullman, Franklin, Jackson, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Marion, Marshall, Morgan and Winston.
We focus not only on educating to decrease HIV stigma and HIV transmission, but also on how to combat societal stigmas, develop positive coping mechanics, and affirm gender identity, and sexual wellness.
