Yes, Stomp Out HIV is a free community event open to everyone who would like to come.
What are the parking options?
Parking is at your own risk. Here are some helpful tips we have gathered to help you.
Garage M- Located between Church and Monroe. Event Parking is $5
Lot K (Clinton)- also available, but a several block walk from the park. Event Parking is $5
Garage B (vehicle entrance on Fountain Circle, but the stairwell out of the garage leads to Church St and Big Spring Park) has 200 Free weekend spaces available. You pull a ticket to enter, but the gate is open upon exit.
There is another conference taking place at the same date and time at the VBC, and we expect this to affect the amount of parking that is available at Garage M in particular.
On-street parking is available first come-first served.
Is this a rain or shine event?
Stomp Out HIV is a rain or shine event. However due to the safety of our performers, staff and volunteers we will be forced to cancel or close early in the event of lightning and thunderstorms.
Is this event family friendly? Dog friendly?
Yes, Stomp Out HIV will offer something for everyone including fun activities for the kids. Dogs are welcome, but they must be leashed at all times and please pick up after them.
Will there be food on-site?
Yes, you can buy food at any of the several food trucks that are partnering with us.

Frankie’s Crab Shack - Shrimp, Catfish, Smoked Sausage, Wings, French Fries, Chips, Lobster Mac
Flippin’ Filipino - A food truck specializing in Filipino Street Foods including lumpia, pancit, kabobs, and Ube cake!
Tropical Sno - Shaved Ice
Will seating be available?
Seating is very limited, please bring a camping chair or blanket if you want to sit and enjoy the day.
Will there be restrooms on-site?
Yes, we will have several port-a-johns on site, including ADA facilities.
Safety Considerations
Thrive Alabama strives to create a safe environment for the entire community.
Hired security will be present throughout the duration of the event.
Stomp Out HIV is a safe-space event.
